About Me.
Hi my name is Roisin (Row-sheen). I would love to help and support you with whatever has brought you my way.
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I offer a free initial 15 minute online or phone consultation. This allows us to have a chat and see if we are the right fit for working together.
I work mainly online and have a few walk and talk sessions available just outside of Carlisle.
My Approach.
I am a person-centred counsellor. This means I work with you at your own pace to build a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to enable you to explore and work through whatever has brought you to counselling. I have worked in various settings as a counsellor and with a wide and diverse range of people.
Within my sessions I aim to create a warm and nurturing space, I successfully support clients to understand themselves and their issues on a deeper level. We will work together to make suitable changes to improve your life and wellbeing.
My Interests.
I have a special interest in working with expecting and new parents, especially new mums. I find pregnancy and postpartum such a pivotal and transitional time for expecting parents. It should be a time where support and nurturing are in abundance, unfortunately for some people it can be a time where support is lacking. It can feel very overwhelming looking after a new baby/babies whilst also trying to look after yourself. I support new mums and parents in this amazing new journey they are embarking on by providing a space to openly speak about this new period of their lives whilst working together to understand how they can look after themselves whilst also parenting in the way they would like.
